About Us

Liberation or Death is a movement that documents, analyzes, and amplifies the movements in defense of the animals, the Earth, and the oceans. Born from the histories of the Animal Liberation Front, Earth Liberation Front, and Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, this project exists to preserve memory, challenge narratives, and expose systems of exploitation that thrive in the silence.

 

This is a platform for contextualizing resistance, documenting struggle, and posing difficult moral questions about legality, legitimacy, and survival in a world built on extraction-not sensational violence or calls to cause harm.

 

What We Cover

 

Animal Liberation Front (ALF)

A survey of underground resistance to animal exploitation, including historical actions, ethical debates, and the philosophy of total animal liberation, and actions taken by the ALF.

 

The Earth Liberation Front (ELF)

Environmental resistance movements challenging ecological destruction, corporate pollution, and commodification of nature.

 

Sea Shepherd Society

Maritime direct action campaigns taken for the protection of marine life, conservation laws, and confrontation against illegal fishing and whaling operations. Mostly in the Paul Watson Era

 

State Power & Repression

How governments, corporations, and colleges use the exploitation of animals the earth and the sea for their own gain.

Memory, Media, and Narrative

Who gets remembered as a "terrorist," who gets remembered as a "protector," and who controls those labels.

 

Our Mission

It is the mission of Liberation or Death to document resistance without distortion. Mainstream media has a tendency to wash away context, moral urgency, and historical depth when talking about events in radical environmental and animal liberation movements. We aim to restore that context. And help people understand such serious actions have been taken.

 

Why This Matters

Environmental collapse and mass animal suffering are not abstract future threats they constitute ongoing realities. Movements like the ALF, ELF, and Sea Shepherd emerged not out of extremism, but out of systemic failure to protect life through conventional means.

Ignoring such movements does not make the problems disappear. The study of them confronts us with an awareness of the limitations of law, reform, and resistance.
